Jannine "Kispal Janine"

D.O.B 10-03-1998

Jannine came to us about nine months ago, from friends in the cat world. She has produced some lovely kittens, but they decided to concentrate on their other breed, so we agreed to have her. She had been to us before to be entertained by our stud boy Toby, so I knew this Russian. She was very timid and almost a little skitty, but I thought it was due to the new surroundings and a little insecurity, especially being away from home.

We have had a real challenge with Janine, but she is now part of our Russian family. It takes lots of patience, time and love, but we have made great progress with her and the trust between us has grown immensely. We feel a great sense of achievement. She is still very shy, especially with strangers and will hide away.

In our opinion she is not a typical Russian - for what reason I'm not quite sure. but it is a pleasure to have her now and when she comes to ME, instead of the other way around an takes treats from my hand, it makes us feel that she is happy being part of our family.

We feel showing her would be out of the question, which is such a shame. She has a great Russian head, all the points a judge would look for, but we would be expecting too much of her. She may never make a champion but she is a winner to us!
